When not recording, Spadaro could often be found gigging around L.A., performing in clubs and street festivals. The band liked to stretch the music out live, with bluesy improvisation and some Grateful Dead flavored jamming.
Although she's a Pennsylvania native, Patti spent several years in the L.A. area recording, performing and touring with several bands and as a solo artist. She is best known for her wailing lead giutar, but is also an accomplished songwriter & singer, and a guitar teacher. Currently she can be found around the Pittsburgh, PA area.
In April 2000, Patti organized a benefit concert for Free Arts for Abused Children at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles. Rock legends Little Feat headlined the concert, with the Smith/Spadaro Band opening the show.
Patti has recorded and performed with Singer/songwriter and award winning commercial producer Sherby . Sherby's debut CD is receiving airplay nationwide and has spent several weeks on the Gavin Report charts.
For over 3 years Patti was the lead guitarist for the Zookeepers. They recorded two CDs together, the first simply titled "The Zookeepers", and the second entitled "Set Me Free". Patti and the Zookeepers toured the western U.S. extensively. They were named one of L.A.'s best bands by Fox-TV, and have performed on local TV shows, including Good Day LA. Both of their CDs received airplay all over the west coast.
"A Step Down From Luxury", Patti's first CD, was recorded with the Mystrals. Patti performed often with the Mystrals in L.A. and the southwestern U.S.

Patti was born and raised in the Philadelphia area, the daughter of a classical flutist. She began playing guitar at age 11 and performing at age 13. While working toward her B.S. degree in physics, she took many music classes at Drexel University. She went on to study guitar at Musician's Institute in Hollywood with world class players such as Keith Wyatt and Scott Henderson.
